Hypnosis has a long history dating back to ancient times where the main use of it was medicinal. In 18th century, Franz Anton Mesmer, the “Father of Hypnosis”, performed hypnosis on a lady with convulsive malady to cure her. In the 1950’s, hypnosis was used for therapeutic purposes especially with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Hypnosis reprograms the subconscious part of your brain.
Why am I telling you all this? Well, you should probably know, seeing as a hypnotist is coming to campus tonight. Dale K is a funny hypnotist that will hypnotize either you or your friends. Come out and find out about hypnosis and get a good laugh out of it too. 8 o’clock, Turner Auditorium, be there!
