Tyler Marovich of Cary, NC, is a senior as a Communication Studies major.
While on vacation with my family in Alaska, I took a helicopter to a glacier that was located between two mountains and drove a sled dog team.
What has been your favorite moment at Campbell?
Being an officer for the first year of the Communication Studies Club was a lot of fun!
What do you want to do after you graduate?
I would love to join a marketing or public relations team in the automotive realm. Cars have been a passion of mine since I was young, and I would enjoy a career that combines my love of cars with what I have learned here at Campbell.
What is your favorite food?
Anything with bacon, though I do enjoy fried chicken as well.
Who is your inspiration and why?
My parents are my inspiration. They both have worked extremely hard to be where they are today, and hopefully one day I can be as successful and well respected as they are.
What has been your hardest class thus far?
All of my Spanish classes have been difficult. I enjoyed learning about other countries and cultures but had a hard time learning the language.
Do you have a hobby or favorite way to spend down time?
I attend a lot of car shows and photograph the events. In 2011, I was invited to the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, which only about 120,000 people worldwide are invited to attend. I took a few thousand pictures and met many people who work in the automotive field, both of which I enjoyed. If I am not doing anything car-related, I am bowling or enjoying time with my girlfriend and our dog and cat at home.
