Campbell University Athletics recently revealed a revamped visual identity, showcasing new logos, word marks, colors, and typography fonts, symbolizing a new chapter in the program’s history. This fresh identity, launched on July 1, 2023, aims to embody the strength and resilience of the Fighting Camel while honoring the institution’s heritage. The new branding, marked by its bold simplicity, is designed to seamlessly adapt across diverse platforms, reflecting the ethos of Campbell Athletics in a unified manner.
The updated primary logo captures the essence of the Fighting Camel, emphasizing its tenacity and vigor with a more streamlined and robust stance. This evolution of the previous marks allows for enhanced functionality across various applications while aligning the identity of Campbell Athletics. The incorporation of a customized “C” within the Camel’s racing bib, along with a new word mark sharing the Camel’s characteristics, unifies the visual elements of the athletics program. The campaign “Fight as ONE” champions this new identity, emphasizing unity across the 21 varsity sports, campus, community, and alumni.
Partnering with Joe Bosack & Co., known for their expertise in brand design and strategy within collegiate sports, Campbell Athletics led this transformation internally. Led by Jason Williams, Associate A.D. for Communications and Branding, the project involved collaboration among executive leadership, external affairs, coaches, student-athletes, university faculty, staff, and administrators. This rebrand marks a significant step forward for Campbell Athletics, aligning its visual identity with its achievements and aspirations in collegiate competition.
