How have you enjoyed your time at Campbell University?

I have truly enjoyed my time at Campbell University. I call Campbell my second home! The academic environment has been enriching, and the faculty’s dedication to fostering learning has been evident in every class. The diverse range of courses and extracurricular activities have allowed me to explore my interests and develop new skills. Additionally, the supportive community here has made my experience even more memorable. I’ve had the opportunity to make lifelong friends, collaborate on exciting projects, and engage in meaningful discussions. I am surrounded by great professors and peers, creating a strong community. Overall, my time at Campbell has been a fulfilling and transformative journey that I wouldn’t trade for anything.

How do you balance extra activities in school?

Balancing extracurricular activities with academics in school requires effective time management and organizational skills. First, I identify my most important commitments, such as academic responsibilities and key extracurricular activities and then I focus on those priorities first. Next, I create a to-do list to organize your time. I schedule specific times for classes, study sessions, and extracurricular activities.

What are some benefits of being involved in campus activities?

Being involved in campus activities can offer a wide range of benefits that extend beyond the classroom. Involvement in campus activities provides opportunities to develop leadership, teamwork, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills. Also, Campus activities offer a chance to connect with diverse people, including students, faculty, and professionals. Networking can be valuable for future career opportunities. Not only does being part of campus activities help create a sense of community and belonging and enhance your resume, but it also can be a great way to relieve stress. Having a balance between academic and extracurricular pursuits contributes to overall well-being.

Where is ur favorite place to spend time in Campbell?

My favorite places to spend time are the library and the student union. I like that they are beside each other, and it only takes a few steps to go to each place. I go to the library when I want to focus and do schoolwork. I love that Starbucks is in the library to energize me with a coffee. Additionally, I like walking to the student union to grab a sub or de-stress at the gym.

What’s your favorite memory at Campbell?

My favorite memory at Campbell will probably be participating in Campus Recreation Intramural sports. I did a couple throughout my years at Campbell, and it is a fun way to get active with your friends.

What’s some advice you would give an incoming freshman?

As a first-generation student, I will always advise a freshman to ask for help. When I was adapting to college, it was scary. However, I joined the mentoring program at Campbell, and my mentor has helped me with my academic and personal struggles. I cannot thank her enough. Next, I will advise them to use a planner or calendar to keep track of assignments, deadlines, and events. Staying organized will help you manage your time effectively. Lastly, be bold, make new friends, and build relationships with classmates, roommates, and professors. College is a great opportunity to expand your social circle. This can be accomplished by joining clubs and organizations that align with your interests. It’s a fantastic way to meet like-minded people and enhance your college experience.
