On April 10, 2024, The Campbell Softball team defeated nationally ranked #3 Duke in a mid-week matchup. This win over Duke awarded the Camels with their highest-ranked win in program history, and was also the first time they beat a top 25 ranked team since 2018. The Camels scored all three of their runs in the second inning and held the Blue Devils scoreless until the sixth inning. Duke was able to put two runs in the board in the bottom of the sixth inning but no more than that. The Campbell defense was able to hold Duke to 2 runs leading them to the 3-2 win that night.
