I had the opportunity to speak with several students about their aspirations for leadership and community involvement. When I asked them about the types of leadership opportunities they were interested in, many expressed excitement about joining student government, leading service organizations, and participating in campus clubs. One student shared that they hoped to start a mentorship program to connect upperclassmen with freshmen to help them navigate university life. It was clear that the students were eager not only to develop their leadership skills but also to contribute to the community in meaningful ways.
