Throwback Thursday

9/11

The college students right now, are the last college student who will remember where they were when they heard about the tragedy of the planes hitting the twin towers in New York, the Pentagon, and the one headed for the White House.  Many of us remember that we didn’t know what to think or we didn’t understand the magnitude of the crisis.  Many of us were elementary students, and got excited when our teachers turned the TV on in class.  How could we have understood as small children that this would lead to a war and a new lifestyle filled with security that we still see today?  As we are part of the end of the generation who remembers, we must make sure that the people who come after us understand what this day means to our country.  We will never forget 9/11/2001.

To all students, faculty and staff who lost someone 13 years ago today, remember that they died a hero, because they had no control over what happened to them.  God has a plan for everything he does and even if we still can not see that plan today, 9/11 fits in his plan.
