Campbell Men’s Basketball earns #1 seed in the Big South Conference tournament. They will host the tournament at home in Gore Arena Thursday @ 6 pm.
On Saturday, Gore Arena had a record crowd of 3,351. Campbell’s top scorers during the game were Chris Clemons who scored 30 points and Andrew Eudy who had 19 in their final regular season home game. These seniors led Campbell to earned the top seed in the tournament for the first time since 1985-86.
But, it was Jordan Whitfield’s free throws buckets with 4.6 seconds to play that pushed the Camels to a 64-62 win. The regular season title is first time the Camels have won a league trophy since the 2010!
