This week I spoke with one of Campbell’s seniors and President of Psychology Club Skylar Raynor.
Class Year: Senior
Major: Psychology
What are some clubs or activities that you’re involved with on campus?:
President of Psychology Club, Student Researcher in Rushing Psychology Lab
What are you most excited for this year?:
“This is my first semester working in a psychology research lab on campus. I have worked in labs off campus, but I am excited to work with other students in my major here at Campbell who share my research interests in psychology. There are four of us working together in the lab, and all of us really enjoy studying emotion regulation! I am looking forward to the results of the projects we are working on. I plan on applying to graduate school at the end of this semester to study either Clinical or School Psychology.”
Some Accomplishments that you’re proud of:
“I completed the Summer Research Fellows Program here at Campbell this summer and it was a really great way to work on my independent research in an intensive and enriching setting. I got to learn about what research in other academic disciplines looks like as well! This month, I was awarded second place in the 2021 Florida Psychological Association’s Division of Graduate Students (FPGAS) Poster Competition!”
