1.) Break down what happened during your stay at study abroad
“When my group arrived to Austria, we had one week to settle in and we had school Monday – Thursday with Dr. street. We took psychology of music class; Viennese vibes, which was 5 weeks. Students stayed at a place next to Webster University but since I am from there, I stayed back home with my family. We went on field trips once a week, like to the Fraud Museum, and on weekends we would explore the city and all the beautiful things it had to explore. We would go to popular cities like Salzburg!”
2.) What tourist sites did you visit, and which one was your favorite?
“Since I am from there, I was the tour guide of the group, some tourist’s sites that I showed the group was a landmark in Vianna called Stevens Cathedral. There are catacombs underneath the church which are the tombs of emperors & empresses of the Austria monarchy and where their bones were stored. Everyone loved it! We also went to an Amusement Park called Prater, it is free to enter and open until 1:00 am. It is hard to pick my favorite site to visit but if I had to choose, I would choose anything downtown because there are lots of history museums, restaurants and coffee houses, some are more than 100 years old.”
3.) What did you learn from this experience?
“What I learned from this experience since I’m from there just confirms to me that I absolutely love, and I am reassured that I want to live there when I get older for the rest of my life. I basically fell in love with Vianna all over again. We also met students from webster university, and we became instant friends and connections, the overall vibe was incredible.”
4.) What was your overall best experience and why?
“I would definitely recommend the study abroad trip to Campbell students because you learn so much history and culture, but also modern culture. You have the city of music and art works combined. In the summer you will find lots of events at the Danube Island festival, which is most popular, also, free music festivals with around 3 million visitors within the span of 3 days. You can never get tired of it, and it is very convenient to travel to over cities, Austria is the number one world champion in making coffee. I can’t get enough!”
5.) Would you recommend this trip to other Campbell students and why?
