- What is your favorite place on campus and why? In what way has this place impacted your time at Campbell?
- “The walls around the academic circle. Specifically, the one between D-Rich and Kivett. I love sitting on the wall when the weather is nice. Between 2:00pm and 5:00pm, there’s a nice shadow on the wall that provides some good shade! It’s the perfect spot for reading. I love that it’s outside in the heart of campus. So, while I am trying to get some class work done, I can see a ton of classmates walking around and say hey to my friends!
- If you had the chance to change one thing at Campbell, what would it be and why?
- “I would probably add some more food options. We only have a handful of real dining options, so adding variety would be beneficial! I believe the student body would be happier with the campus if the dining was diversified a bit.”
- What clubs and organizations are you involved in around campus?
- ” I am a member of the Campbell University Education club, and I am a member of the Campbell University Teaching Scholars. Along with that, I work for Campbell University Residence Life and Housing as a Community Assistant in Burkot Hall. Finally, I am the Student Manager of the Writing Center. I work as a general Writing Coach as well!
- What is your favorite memory that has happened to you during your time at Campbell?
- “I think one of my favorite memories was during my Oxford Christians literature class. We were reading Lord of the Rings, and I was the only one in the class that had never seen the movies or read the books before. So during each class period, my classmates and professor would listen to my reactions, thoughts, and opinions for that day’s readings. Reading the series with the class was one of my favorite things that I have done at Campbell. I’m so glad I took that class!”
- If you had one piece of advice to offer a freshmen, what would it be?
- “I would tell the freshmen to take a day at the beginning of their first semester to print out and read all of their syllabi. After reading them, create a google calendar that has all of the due dates and big assignment deadlines. It helps me plan out my schedule, and I can then make sure I don’t forget any assignments!”
