Earlier this week, students at Campbell got the chance to experience an adrenaline high in the form of a giant balloon. The annual event gives students the opportunity to relax from their work and experience a fun ride. The balloon was operated by a pilot and allowed up to 4 students per ride. The balloon was parked near the water tower in a small field.

Some of the students in line were asked why they wanted to ride the balloon which required a waiver to be signed before boarding. Thier replies were very interesting. Cassidy said, “I’ve never done it before and it’s a new experience.” Tori said “I think it’ll be cool to kind of see everything from up there.” Katy said, “It looks really fun and my dad always wanted to (ride in a hot air balloon) and so he’s going to live vicariously through me.” Nate said, “It’s my first time and I just wanted to get out of my study habits.”
