Tips for Tuesday: How to Do Game Day Right

Sophia Pineda

This Saturday, the Camels are home for back-to-back action: football takes on Stony Brook at 1:00 PM at Barker-Lane Stadium, and volleyball plays Stony Brook at 2:00 PM. Whether it’s your first game or your fiftieth, here’s how to make the most of it.

1. Get There Early

The best seats go fast, and arriving early means less stress finding parking. Plus, the pregame energy is half the fun.

2. Wear Your Orange

Pull out every piece of Campbell gear you own. The more orange in the stands, the louder the Creek looks and feels.

3. Dress for the Weather

November in Buies Creek can go from chilly to warm in a few hours. Layers are your best friend: a hoodie you can tie around your waist when the sun comes out.

4. Bring a Crew

Games are always better with friends. Grab your roommates, your club, or your whole hall and make a day of it.

5. Honor Military Appreciation Day

Saturday’s game celebrates those who have served. Take a moment to stand, cheer, and thank any veterans or service members you see in the crowd.

6. Catch Both Games

Football kicks off at 1:00, and volleyball starts at 2:00. Can’t decide? Catch the first half at Barker-Lane, then head over for some volleyball. Two wins in one day? We can dream.

7. Charge Your Phone

You’ll want photos, videos, and maybe a few selfies with Gaylord. Don’t let a dead battery cost you the memories.
