How does this compare to our labs today? The 1946 labs look a bit like a mad science lab; however, the intensity of lab has probably not changed over the years.

Notable science events in 1946:

  • Karl von Frisch publishes “The Dances of the Bees”
  • Chance Brothers produce the first all-glass syringe
  • Robert Jarvik, co-inventor of the Jarvik-7 artificial heart was born
