I’m here to tell you that most people with a screen have probably already seen this meme, without even telling you what this is about, most people already know just by looking at poor Chris Rock’s face. If you don’t know let me give you a little insight on what is currently trending all over Tiktok, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, you name it.
During the 2022 Oscars at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, Chris Rock was taking time to crack a few jokes, including one about Will Smith’s wife. He made a joke about her hair matching Demi Moore’s shaved head in the movie G.I. Jane. Jada, who was recently opened up about this, revealed it was a result of having a disorder, called alopecia, which causes hair loss. Seconds later, Will walked onstage and approached Chris, smacking him in front of the audience and millions watching the telecast at home. Back at his table, Will shouted repeatedly to Chris: “Keep my wife’s name out of your mouth!”
On Monday, Smith publicly apologized to Rock in a statement shared on Instagram, saying, “I was out of line and I was wrong. Jokes at my expense are a part of the job, but a joke about Jada’s (Will’s wife) medical condition was too much for me to bear and I reacted emotionally.”
