There were many athletic events this past weekend starting with Volleyball on Friday night. Early Saturday morning, free Bojangles was served to students who came to the disc golf tournament. Winners were given gift cards and CAB discs were given out. Later in the day, was the football game where we killed Missouri Baptist 66-7. The swim team also won their match against North Florida. The volleyball team won their game on Saturday as well against Liberty. This past Saturday was also the first time to students got to see the men’s basketball team in action in their preview.

Friday was Halloween and although many students went off campus for Halloween activities, there were many Halloween activities on campus. The Pit was put on by the theatre department and it was well done by students who enjoy dressing up as someone they are not. The Haunted Trail in the woods was done by CKI and was also a hit on campus.
There were also many athletic events. On Friday there was a Volleyball game against Gardner Webb which we lost. However, the costume contest was a success as the student who came as coach Wanda Watkins won the $100 gift card to County Seat.
Saturday was a big day for athletics as men’s soccer, women’s volleyball, and the football team all played. Although they all lost, we know they tried hard.
Sunday was a women’s soccer game and the final results against Gardner Webb was 1-0 with Campbell winning.
Also on Sunday was a trip to Frankie’s Fun Park with CAB. For only $5 students had fun on bumper cars, playing laser tag and much more. The next trip with CAB will be go to to the midnight premiere of Mockingjay so don’t miss out. Sign ups will be Tuesday November 4th and the trip is only $5.
Pumpkin smashing has been rescheduled to Tuesday November 4th at 7pm in Academic Circle.

Many things happened this weekend kicking off the week before Halloween. CKI club began their Haunted Trail in the woods behind Lundy. If you didn’t get the chance to go yet, they will still be doing it at the end of this week. There was also a pageant for dudes on campus put on by DPhiE and it was pretty funny to watch the guys strut their stuff. Friday night, The Fault in Our Stars movie was played and many tears were shed. With athletics this weekend, the football team chartered a plane for their trip to play Marlst. They lost, but only by one touchdown. Men’s soccer won their match against Presbyterian with fan’s cheering them on. CAB also took a trip to Charlotte this weekend to stay at the Great Wolf Lodge and go to SCarowinds. It was a great time, riding rollercoasters, water slides, and going into haunted houses.
This past weekend, was a good one here in The Creek with football and women’s soccer winning their games. The football team played against Butler on Saturday at noon, and the final score was 28-9. Fans wore pink for Camels for a Cure. Students that arrived early enough at the women’s soccer game received a hot pink Camels for a Cure t-shirt. The game started at 7 and all the t-shirts were gone by 6:30. The women’s soccer game also had to be delayed because of a small storm the came through on Saturday night. Despite that, fans still came out to see the ladies defeat Presbyterian 2-1.
Friday night, students gathered in Turner Auditorium to watch Maleficent. Despite the movie being portrayed as a dark film, it was actually sweet with some funny parts as well.

This past weekend was Family Weekend at Campbell University. There were several games for the families to attend.
Friday: Women’s Volleyball won against High Point 3-1
Saturday: Women’s Soccer tied with Liberty 0-0
Men’s Soccer lost against Davidson 3-1
The Football Team won against Valparasio 34-24
Along with these four sporting events, there were activities for the families to enjoy campus with their students. On Friday was Beach in the Creek. With food such as chicken, potatoes, and brownies to dancing along to music provided by a Caribbean duo. Some students even enjoyed playing corn hole and hula hooping. On Saturday, an Autumn Festival took place. There were many inflatables such as an obstacle course, and a boxing ring. When people got hungry, cotton candy and popcorn was provided. Many clubs were also there selling things such as salsa and caramel apples. It was a great weekend in the creek and here is a recap of some of the festivities.
